I just returned from visiting/helping Jen and Justin and Lukas get ready for their move to Destin, Florida area. I had a great time!! Hopefully I helped them some- They said I did so that made me feel good. Lukas is a real cutie!! He giggles and laughs!! He is also a real thinker. I told Den Wyatt is our Stinker and Lukas is our thinkder!!! I am not sure what Garett will be yet! I do believe that Lukas will give his cousin Wyatt a run for!! He is a very active boy at times!! So he may become my stinker thinker!! Above is a video we recorded the morning I left. That little boy was awake at 5 am!!! Guess he just wanted to see grandma w before she left!! This is the game we would play with the stuffed dog. He giggled and giggled and giggled. I will post some more photos/videos also. Plus, all kinds of photos, etc are coming after the first of the year when we get back from our trip to Florida!! Both sets of kids, spouses and grandbabies will be there with us. Den and I are sooooo excited!!! Can't wait!!

Tastefully Simple
I now have a new job!! I am at this time a Tastefully Simple Consultant!! Signed up a week ago to give it a try and am really kind of excited about it. I shadowed my team leader today at a party where the host sold close to $1000. so the team leader made about $250 in about a 4-5 hour period. She also does this full time which is not what I want to do. I just really want to make enought to keep the privileges of having the discounts and also maybe make enough to put away for my "grandbaby trip fund!" Anyway, If any body who reads this needs or wants to try some tastefully simple products just let me know!! A great variety of gift sets are available for the holidays!! I will have an email account soon and also set up my own website if I make enough to afford that!! Right now I just want to get thisngs started and have fun at doing it.
More later- just updating. Oh yea - yesterday was Den's 56 th birthday so if you talk to him or see him tell him Happy B'Day!!!

Snores-be-gone!!
So, the update on snoring grandma!!! I had the sleep test a few weeks ago and the results are in...I stopped "breathing" an average of 48 times an hour and my O2 sats went as low as 82% (normal O2 sats should be on average 98%). Never fear though - I have been asured that I have not lost any brain cells so no smart remarks Jake and Justin!!!! Sooooo the treatment for this is to go on a CPAP machine (pronounced c-pap). So about a week ago I was fitted and oriented to this new machine that is now sitting on my bedside table. After using it for about 1 week I can honestly say that I think it is helping. I really do feel more refreshed in the mornings and I am not feeling near as exhausted as I was. Also I am not feeling the need to take naps off and on through out the day. I hardly take naps at all now (really and truly Jake!!) Denny says that I do not snore AT ALL. So I have returned to our master bedroom cause I had felt soooo bad that I kept waking Denny up and he would go to sleep on the sofa and he wasn't even in trouble!! I do have to sleep with this humidified air (presssure setting of a 10) that enters my nose through these nasal puffs and then a strap that goes around my head and under my chin loosely. I am getting used to it. I guess I'll have to use it for the rest of my life but the advantage is that by treating this problem now it can lessen my chances of B/P problems, heart disease etc. as I get older. I was rather intimidated by it at first especially because it isn't really attractive to go to bed with this on. I actually almost cried about it but then seriously scolded myself because having to do this is nothing compared to what some people have to go through and if this is all that happens to me then I can say I am really truly blessed!! Den was really sweet- he didn't laugh at me at all. He was really kind of glad I got this all taken care of I think - especially since now I don't snore and keep him awake.
Everything else is going well with us. Den is working hard. I am still at the hospital. Both of us are trying to save our pennies for Christmas in Destin.... we can not wait to see ALL of our kids!!!
Got to go- going out for chicken wings tonight---to Dad's favorite spot. Maybe catch some football on the screen too.
Love you all

Update on the snoring!!! How attractive!!
This last week I went to have a sleep study test done- something I have put off for the last 7 months BUT now that the snoring is getting worse and I am not sleeping well and I am also keeping Den up I felt I needed to go through with the test. Sooooo, I go the hospital sleep lab and check in by 7:30 pm last Wed. eve. Took my book to read, thought I'd enjoy my own TV control, etc, etc, etc. Anyway, after all of the paper work and a little relaxing time, the tech came in to "hook me up" to all of the wires. There were a lot of wires!!! I could have probably gotten cable TV and they didn't even offer it!!! Anyway, below are some photos of me hooked up. The tech explained that the "cpap" machine (the part that is on my face and in my nose) would only be fitted to me so that IF I needed it during the night then she would just come in and put it on me without waking me up completely! Oh Yea, that happened!! She did come in about 2 am and said I needed the cpap machine because I was having periods where I did not breathe (aka sleep apnea). I asked her if I was snoring and she said yes, and I asked was it loud and she said sometimes! Oh great I thought. Anyway, for the rest of the night I slept with the apnea monitor (aka cpap machine) on. Woke up about 5:30 and she said if I wanted to I could go home. I asked about the rest of the test and she said I did really well after the cpap machine was put on- no more snoring and no more apnea periods. The full results are expected in about a week when I go back to my ENT Doctor and he will let me know the actual results from the sleep test and also tell me what we will need to or should do. I asked Den to go with me cause I know this involves him too- he's the one who has to hear the snoring (except when I fall asleep in the car and my kids are driving and I start snoring then they hear it too!!)
Oh well, all can be taken care of-- I just want to have a GOOD nights sleep and not be causing Denny any sleepless nights due to my snoring!! Will let you know what happens in a week.
By the way - want to see some beautiful grandbaby pictures? Visit "jakeannawyattgarett.blogspot.com" and "keepingupwiththewheelers.blogspot.com". There you will find the most adorable baby pictures ever!!! Their moms and dads aren't bad either!!!

Snoring Menace!!
OK, so I snore!! And I guess it is getting really bad so I thought I would try to do something to decrease or stop the snoring. So, Tuesday I looked up snoring on the internet and one of the suggestions was to buy this chin strap thing that cost a "reasonable" $60.00 to hold my jaw closed so the snoring would not happen as much. The creative person I am goes to Walmart and bought a headband that I figured would do the same thing. This photo is me Tuesday night with of course my "breathe right" strip in place and my new jaw clenching device. Well, I know you are wondering how it worked. Den doesn't think it helped but I can say that it was probably the most RESTLESS night of sleep I have ever had because I kept waking up to make sure my "brace" was in tact and I was also so afraid that I would wake Den up with snoring again!!! When I woke up I also had the lasting imprints on my neck and jaw area of the fabric outline and sore area from where the seam line was all night!! Last night after working 12-13 hours I told Den I had to have a good nights sleep which translated to "please don't wake me if I snore because I am toooooo exhausted!!" I did sleep well but now have a summer cold so now I am doped up with alergy cold meds and nyquil or day quil.... The other part of this story is that when I flew home from Charleston, SC on Sunday morning I was sitting by the window and of course I fell off to sleep. Well, I was sitting next to 2 younger women. Later during the fight the one lady came back from the "bathroom" and I heard her tell her friend next to me that the flight attendant said there were 2 empty seats in the back. Soooooo, They moved!! I got to thinking to myself "I wonder why they moved" and I tried to put it out of my mind cause I knew I had used deodorant and brushed my teath that morning. NOW I think it was because I fell asleep and started SNORING!!! How embarassing!!!! I am sure they moved because of that. I just wonder how many other people heard me and if it was really loud snoring or just quiet monotonous snoring!?!? Oh well, will probably never see them again anyway!!
My trip to Charleston to see Luke and Justin and Jen went really well. I have to say that I have the cutest grandchildren in the world!!! Lukas was all smiles and loves to play on the floor with his toys. He is a very happy contented child!!! He also looks like his mama I think!! He does have his daddy's curious nature though. Will be very interesting to see how he is when he starts being more independent such as crawling and walking!! Look Out World- Here He Comes!!! Here are a couple of cute photos of my boy Luke. He is sooo precious!! I have been blessed with healthy active beautiful babies and I am very proud of each of them!!!!

The Beginning---Again!!
OK- just finished typing my initial post then went to preview and then I lost it all sooooo...... Here I go again!! I have been encouraged by my girls (Anna and Jen) to start my own blog so here I am. Figured if they could do it so could I!! hahaha So today I am off work and am planning to start up my walking again so will take Ginger and Gracie out for a 3 mile walk then will probably come home and do laundry and "sweep" the house. I may even take a little time to read the book "Guardian" for a few chapters. It is really good!! I do teach Prenatal Classes tonight so will have to work that into my plans also! It is a beautiful day here in the midwest. I may have to go to the pool for an hour or so....so much to do and so little time---hahaha. Well, better get started so I will try to download some photos later but then again--if they can do it so can I!!!!!
